The Human Centre is born of spending decades working in partnership with organisations to achieve high-impact, human-centred change – creating purpose-led strategies, transforming cultures, and engaging citizens and customers. We benefit from the expertise and intellectual capital of that experience, and now you can too. The Human Centre was founded to share the secrets of our success and to give you the insight, tools, connections, and agency to apply everything we’ve successfully tried and tested. And together the community adds to our shared knowledge to create a formidable new resource.
Our purpose is to power up changemakers to create a resilient future through human-centred leadership.
We want to make human-centred ways of working commonplace, and catalyse a world of economic, social, and environmental resilience for individuals, communities, organisations, and nations built on making the best of our shared humanity.
The Human Centre is born of three key beliefs:
There is a compelling need for organisational resilience
40% of global CEO’s think their organisation will no longer be economically viable in ten years’ time (PWC CEO survey, 2023).
Transformation is continuous
CEOs believe, in an ideal world, they would be spending as much time reinventing their organisation as improving current performance (PWC CEO survey, 2023).
Human-centred change is the most effective and resilient form of change
Organisations that put humans at the centre of their transformation efforts are 2.6x more likely to succeed (EY and Said Business School, 2021).
Working as a part of a community, we can help accelerate the adoption of human-centred ways of working.
Humanity
We value people and what motivates us to act including meaning, fairness, discovery, reciprocity, a voice and a sense of agency.
Resilience
We value our shared future and leaving our communities stronger for future generations.
Connection
We believe connection is the heart of our humanity – connections to other people, to other ideas, to our heritage, to our sense of place, and to our future.
Collaboration
We can face into systemic barriers and remove them if we collaborate and give each other a hand-up.
